“I have been working with John Stengel of Stengel Consulting for a few years and aside from being an excellent trainer, he is also top notch in the network security field. John has a very deep knowledge that can get one out of any jam, and a way of not only helping one to solve a problem but teaching you at the same time. John wants the best for your company, this is demonstrated by his drive to make sure that things not only work, but they work the way they were designed and follow industry standards." Marcus R. - Newton, NC

“To make this brief and to the point, John is as good as it gets. Extremely technical, smart solutions, and high character. Definitely someone I plan to continue doing business with long term.”  Scott B. - Tampa, FL

“John is an excellent instructor, very knowledgeable and I will attend future classes as needed through his organization. The class was very structured, providing the students with enough knowledge to thoroughly understand each topic. In addition, John added additional security measures that were outside of the scope of the training which was a bonus in and of itself. I would highly recommend John's organization to anyone seeking Watchguard training.” Denise L. Pennsylvania

James did an outstanding job with my class and I sincerely appreciate your individual effort tailoring the XTM material for my specific needs...JStengel Consulting is the ONLY firm I'll ever recommend for my current or future WatchGuard training needs”  Bill B. Altus AFB Oklahoma

Employee and End User Training

Policy is useless without enforcement, the same way making laws are pointless without enforcement.  If you are going to go through the steps to design security policies for your organization you need to make sure they will be enforced.

But without training it is impossible to enforce policy.  Simply writting a password policy and hitting save does nothing for the employees.  For example, a Doctor doesn't care about a security policy to protect passwords; he is concerned about patient care.  He has never been educated on why policies and procedures are important.

When Rite-Aid was fined for a HIPPA violation, it was because of employee error and lack of training.

We can help you get started.  Our analysts and trainers can help you from policies and procedures through training and helping your HR people with enforcement recommendations.

Using outside speakers is the best way yo get your pint of view across.  We can say things that you can't.  We can draw on our experience to give your employees a complete understanding of the Why they need to be secure.  The What doesn't matter to most people until the know Why.
